Team Battye’s Bikes consists of 5 Junior riders. Our riders compete in various events throughout Australia This year marks a great result for Battye’s Bikes with 14 year old Helensburgh Junior Racer Dale Blackwell.

This year Dale competed in the Australian Off Road Championship, NSW Sprint Series, NSW Junior Enduro Championship & NSW Motocross Championship. Dale finished 1st in the Off Road, Sprint & Enduro Championships & 2nd in the Motocross Championship.

Shawn Ellis of Alfords Point is competing in Motocross with Macarthur & Oakdale for 2008 & is currently sitting in 3rd place Daniel Bussa competed in the Australian Off Road Championship, NSW Sprint Series, NSW Enduro & Oyster Bay Motorcycle club series & had a great season with a 1st place in the NSW sprint Series, 1st in the Oyster Bay club, 4th in the NSW Enduro (missed one round) 8th in the Off Road Championship.

Ben Bussa competed in the Australian Off Road Championship, NSW Sprint Series, NSW Enduro & Oyster Bay Club Championship. Ben started off the season with good results & ended his year with a horrific training accident, breaking his femur. Ben’s recovery is slow due to the severity of his injury, but he will be back in 2009. Ben’s early season results allowed him to hold down 5th place in the Australian Off Road Championship. This is an awesome result considering how many rounds he missed.

The youngest member of the team is Christopher Bussa. Chris’ season started off with real promise after he moved up to a Honda CRF150R Unfortunately Chris suffered a very bad training accident at the start of the season, Chris broke his Femur & Tibia, and this resulted in serious surgery & many months of physio & strength training. Chris is back on the bike & training hard to be ready for season 2009.
